More Birthday Pictures

Here are some random pictures from my mom's camera. My camera has been acting up lately. This past week we had a visit from cousin Elsie and last weekend our cousins Ella and Lathen came too. We all went swimming and got to play together. Mason also started WALKING on Wednesday. He only does it when he wants to! He is such a little stinker. Thursday we had our 1 year pictures taken. They were supposed to be at the beginning of June but she (melissa mullinax) rescheduled with us. I was glad because his top four teeth are very visible now. Speaking of teeth, we have another bottom tooth poking through. This will make 7! After pictures we had our 1 year check up. We were 26.3 lbs and 30 1/2 in long. My have we grown! The shots made us kinda cranky, but he did a very good job at not being scared. Also, right before pictures yesterday our squeaker sandals came in the mail! They are the CUTEST things ever. He acted kind of scared at first but now I think he likes them. Everytime he steps they SQUEAK! Maybe this will encourage more walking!

Little Monkey

My little monkey loves bananas. He also loves to climb on things. Yesterday I caught him climbing up Rosie's steps to our bed. He will only go to the second step unless Jamie is at the top of them. We'll see how long it takes him to become more adventurous.

Fathers Day

I hope Jamie enjoyed his first real fathers day. I think he is crazy for going and playing 18 holes of golf during the middle of the afternoon when its 100 degrees outside. Needless to say, Mason and I decided to sit that one out. Mason got daddy a new golf club and hat. We had Jamie's parents over for a late birthday/fathers day dinner. Grandma's Lawrence's birthday is the day after Mason's. We got grandma a new outfit and some jewelry to match, and grandpa got some snacks and an AC/DC shirt. Mason loves to shop! Somehow Mason also got gifts too. Grandma and Grandpa took on two projects for us and we couldn't be happier with the results. My old toy box went to their house and they got my old letters that said my name and the decoration off of it. It is primed and ready for me to paint for Mason. The other project was a table that my grandpa made for me and my sister. (Until she has any kids, I guess we'll have to keep it at my house.) Mallory and I had colored on it and put stickers all over it, as well as it wasn't too clean from being in storage for quite awhile. Anyways, grandma and grandpa cleaned it up and repainted the legs and it looks great! The best part is they had an old chair that had a seat that matched the table top. It got painted to match the table, so now Mason is able to use something that was both of ours as children. Mason loves it! He immediately went over to it and wanted in the chair. He sat there looking at one of his new books. Today he ate lunch and supper in it like such a big boy!!!!! He had really started hating his high chair. He sits and eats so well at it. It makes him like 5 years old. He has also not had any baby food for around 2 weeks now. His new foods are: nutri grain bars, bannanas, cinnamon graham crackers, goldfish, teddy grahams, freeze dried fruit and yogurt, maccaroni, any kind of pasta and potatoes, chicken nuggets and little graduate ravioli, chicken, turkey and carrot sticks, diced carrots and apples, cheetos, popsicles, taco meat, hot dogs, pizza, etc. He is loving to be a big boy now.
