Happy to be home!
I know its been forever since I've posted anything but the wedding and honeymoon have kept us pretty busy. Plus, my baby rolled over finally tonight! Yesterday we went to the doctor for his 4 month check up and immunization shots and one thing he asked was if Mase was rolling over yet. We said no, he only gets half way over. Of course the very next day he is rolling over like crazy. Now that Jamie is off work he won't do it. Little booger! Crawling will be happening so soon! I thought he was going to start crawling tonight after he flipped over onto his belly. He has gotten so strong. So I don't know if I'll ever have time to talk much about the wedding or the honeymoon since my little baby keeps me so occuppied! Everything was amazing and so beautiful. We are very thankful to have such great family and friends who helped so much with everything. The only problem I have now is finding places to put all of the gifts and the time to do it. Friday we are going to the kiddie parade in Independence and going to check out the pumpkin patch. We can't wait for Saturday to go to the big parade and eat all the good carnival food! Speaking of food, that is also something new in Mason's life. For the past few weeks we have been trying to get him to eat cereal. He doesn't seem to hate it or love it. He has been acting like he is not getting enough to eat lately so I have been experimenting with ways for him to get a full belly. After talking to the doctor the other day, he said to keep doing cereal and he can also have apple juice. Many people told me to do sprite and water in a bottle to help wash the cereal down but the doctor said no its not necessary and that apple juice is equivalent to formula. Last night we gave him a couple of ounces of juice and he loved it. The night before going to the doctor Mason was so fussy and he acted like he was starving after nursing an hour before. My mom said to try mixing the cereal with applesauce to get him to like the taste of it but I had none. The only thing I could think of was strawberry yogurt that I had that would mix okay with it. I put just a tiny baby spoonful in his cereal and he loved it. I asked the doctor if it was okay and he said yes but if he gets used to lots of sweets he will never want to eat veggies when its time for baby food. Well I'm sure I've already done that because before I ever gave him cereal I would give him little bites of ice cream and he loved it. Maybe thats why he hates the bland taste of the cereal. Oops! Mason is now 25 1/2 inches long and weighs 16 lbs 15 oz., pretty close to our scales that said 17 lbs! Big boy!
